![]() A gritty 90's style album for those who grew up on Illmatic, Midnight Marauders, Only Built for Cuban Links, Moment of Truth, and Ready to Die. Behind The Scale shows the other side of what some are glamorizing about street life and drug trade. This is unfiltered, real shit. Some of the stories are intensely personal and Sean second-guessed including them, but if it ain't raw it ain't real. Behind The Scale is about change, transition and growing up. set custom HTML

This track is just bananas! Do yourself a favor and turn your speakers up before listening. There's not much more I can say about this joint. It speaks for itself... If you like this, make sure you come check out New Yorks own, Dox Boogie and his crew Brain Kave Music at The Formula 11 on March 10th at Oliveiras in Peabody, MA. (72 Walnut St.) The Formula 11 was cancelled by South Shore Music Hall 4 days before the show. The only reason we were told by the booking agent is that there is some city board meeting the club is going before and they think that having a Hip Hop show on their calendar of events will have a negative influence on the decision making process for whatever approval the club is trying to attain from the city. In other words...politics! We also lost out on $130 that the club won't reimburse us. Yea, we know that sucks but the show will go on! Supporters of the movement contributed funds to cover our loss so we just postponed the show til March 10th and moved to another venue... Oliveiras in (72 Walnut St, Peabody, MA). It's a nice venue with a buffet until 10:30pm. The capacity is around 300 so we're working towards packing the place. The floor is great for breakers too! We're having the flier edited and new ones printed a.s.a.p.! DJ Xpress will also be back from Florida so he'll be wreckin shop with DJ G7 and DJ Sabertooth throughout the night!
Stay tuned for more info! I like the laid back vibe to this, especially with the piano. I can certainly relate to these lines too "gas off off in my crib, hungry, my stomachs growlin/ I always know I'm a make it, sometimes I fuckin doubt it". I know sometimes our minds have us doubting ourselves when we have even the most righteous intentions. Towards the end of the track he says "I'm just a human consumed with tryin to make a name/ I put it all at stake, to get to stake a claim/ you want an easy pass, I'm tryin to make a lane/ sometimes I'm bout a dollar, sometimes I'm making change/" Once again I have to say, great work! Listen for yourselves... This video is just too dope!! The homie Mayan Tamang of Floor Lords shared this on his wall on facebook and I had to feature it on the Raw Report! Why? Because it's RAW! These kids are off the hook! Sincere feat Reks - "Back To The Basics Pt 2"Â (Prod. by BusyTrack/Scratches by DJ John GotEm)2/25/2013 I had to play this back a few times. The beat, the cuts, the lyrics and vibe of the track is dope! Sincere who's an MC from Providence, RI came to represent at the Freedom Cypher this past Sunday and made quite an impact. He let me know about this track with Reks and I already knew it was gonna be worth the listen. Big up to the homie Sincere! This joint hit my inbox recently and all I can say is... damn! This is real. A lot of people came to mind when I listened to this, especially the first verse. The homie Knowledge from Lynn, MA explains it clearly over a laid back instrumental... it's been a long time coming. ![]() You might have seen him performing at the D.E.N.C.I.T.Y. Poetry Slam, or wreckin shop at the Freedom Cypher, The Formula or the Freestyle Clinic! Maybe you've never heard of him before. Either way, today you're going to get a real treat from our good friend Seti aka K9! Monsta Mind & Peace Vibes Ent brings you Seti's "Extraterrestrial" LP which is an ill blend of Hip Hop, Blues & Rock together into one. It's not your average sound and doesn't quite fit perfectly into any genre of music. That's what's so great about it! Each track bridges the gap between musical palettes, taking the listener through various chambers of Seti's mind reflecting a wide array of themes and genres. So take my word for it when I say this project is a refreshment for any open minded person. Check out the full album on Monsta Minds website! If you like that, make sure you check out his live performance at his album release party @ Fizz Eds on 3/1/13. Another incredible track produced by Jon Glass featuring Reks and C Sharp. This one's just a teaser. If you want the full track you can purchase it off itunes. If you like what you hear for production get
