This was just released today! Incredible production, lyricism and visuals to compliment their artistry! Make sure ya'll get tuned into TragicAllies.com for more info on their upcoming album 7 G.E.M.S. (Golden Era Music Sciences) produced entirely by Purpose! Peace to the Gods!
I got tuned in to Giano a couple weeks ago by way of Sphere of Hip Hop. Definitely an artist worth checkin out. I'd really like to know who produced this track though. If someone finds out please let me know. This track is available for download here.
Ashley Marshall and Welby Pena have set up the first of its kind takeout spot in Downtown Lynn on Union Street. Not only is the food great at Paaastelitos but their customer service is great as well. I'm a regular there myself and have been thinking they deserve more recognition as a local business so when I found out Phantom Gourmet featured them on their show I had to share the clip. There's no false advertising in this video either. They really will make any kind of pastelito you'd like. My personal favorite is the chicken and cheese pastelito and the waffle fries & cheese pastelito.
This track is incredible! DJ's everywhere should be spinnin this frequently! Straight fiyah! This is definitely making the playlist at The Formula showcase.
So many jewels can be found throughout this piece. If I quoted them all, it would be all the lyrics to the song. This is the kind of music that assists in the ascension of consciousness. I can only hope to see some visuals for this in the near future! It truly would be an educational video. This shows and proves the power of music and words, more specifically the power of Hip Hop. Salute to Mars Jupiter!
This instrumental by producer extraordinaire Evill Dewer made my Monday morning. I must have played this about 5 times and just zoned out. Maybe the herb had something to do with it too but I'm sure this beat assisted with that entrancing experience. It must have been "The Vibe".
No you haven't been abducted. Dean Martian is another one of SLiM PiCKENS aliases along with Iron Hellmet. These sounds right here probably are from another galaxy though. It's a short and to the point warning, reminiscent of an inner monologue with your higher self.
MAIN AIM does it again! Get familiar with these guys if you're not hip already. They've got a tremendous amount of music available online and videos for your listening and viewing pleasure. Don't be afraid to attend one of their shows, buy a CD or pay for a download. These guys put in work!
I just came across this today checkin out the Alias & Fakts One facebook page. The beat's pretty hypnotic. I had to play it a few times to really absorb it. Real smooth delivery and a laid back melody by Grubby Pawz.
This morning, the mp3 for this track was made available for free download. Explizit One and Xcel said if they got 200 downloads by 2pm they'd release the video early! Here it is! Enjoy!
If you woke up on the wrong side of the bed or started the day on the wrong foot, this track might at least help improve your mood. It's definitely a feel good kinda track to lift ya spirit. Sometimes we all need the reminder to slow down and Just Breathe.

Following a string of personal and business disappointments, in 2010 D.Focis had become disillusioned with the music business and began plans to leave the business for good. But, there was a lingering project that he always wanted to do; a project dedicated to the late great J.Dilla.
Not just any mixtape, but a project that would be an actual album with real concepts and ideas set the the backdrop of one of the greatest producers of all time. The Herman Gardens Project was the outcome. During the process of making the album D.Focis says "I fell in love with music all over again because of Dilla, and this is my way of saying thank you to him"
This track pretty much sums it up. There's no recession. The wealth of the nation is derived from the unsuspecting taxpayers and consumers. The rich got bailed out and the poor continue to suffer even more. Now what we can do to improve the current situation?
This should wake you up! If you're not noddin ya head to this after you press play, go back to sleep. lol I have no idea how to pronounce this artists last name but he's pretty ill. What do you think about the Flying Nimbus?
Starts out real smooth and melodic and switches up just before the first verse. I recently came across Giano and I like what I've heard so far. Give it a listen.
The duo of Elevated Soul and the Magnificent Ruffians are back at it with Kingsmen! After the huge success of their first double cd, (Magnificent Soul) the Elevated Ruffians knew they had to work together again to create more fresh hip hop for the fans.
This album however has a specific dedication to the great Ben E. King. Hence the name, “Kingsmen”. Each song on this EP has a beat that was flipped or sampled or inspired by a previous work of Ben E. King. So once again you will get the old school blues and soul vibe on this album because that is exactly how they intended it to be. With that said, sit back, turn on the blue lights, get a cigar and a small glass of crown royal and play this album. The Elevated Ruffians Kingsmen album…. Super Dynamite Soul!!!
Feelin this right here. Real smooth beat and it addresses a serious topic. MC Diatribe drops the science about pharmaceuticals and mental health.

First time I got a chance to listen to some recorded music from Abyss and Jon Regul since they came through to represent at the Freedom Cypher last month and I like what I hear. I came across this joint produced by DJ Slipwax and had to share it!
