Wreck Shop Movement returns to their roots at a new venue in the city of Lynn, birthplace of this expanding and evolving Hip Hop Movement. The Formula continues to unite the community and showcase the positive aspects of progressive Hip-Hop culture, making resource drives (food & clothing) for the homeless a part of every event. This month non-perishable food items can be donated at The Formula, benefiting My Brother’s Table at the Lynn shelter. This event had taken place at venues in Boston, Quincy, Beverly, Peabody and now The Fenix Discotec in Lynn, the home of the headliners, bar-heavy boom bap globetrotters Tragic Allies. ![]() Tragic Allies, emerging leaders of the independent Hip Hop scene locally and nationally, return for a rare hometown performance after having recently expanded their reach across international waters. The Lynn crew, along with new crew member Paranom, recently returned from tour with Wu-Tang’s Killah Priest in Europe. While the crew's alliance has clearly helped them eclipse the sum of their parts and take a strong lead in the Hip Hop scene, any of the supporting acts at this edition of The Formula could easily step into that headlining role. Sharing the bill with the Tragic Allies are New England Hip Hop representatives Golden Brown Sound, Relentless, Dirty Durdie, Oracle Thought, and Wreck Shop DJ G7 will be holding it down with a wealth of highly potent words and sounds all evening. DJ Mac will be in the house spinning breaks for the B-Boy cipher. Lynn’s resident wordsmith and wiseman Big Brotha Sadi will be guiding us on this journey through the sacred art of Hip Hop music. The show doesn’t stop at music though, featuring locally designed clothing, visual art, and food from Paaastelitos and Original Hip Hop Chocolates. Live painting by Jeremy Harrison of Black Feet Images and DaArtistZNT who will also be showcasing and selling art. Clothing for sale by Evil Genius Industries. ![]() Wreck Shop Movement presents The Formula Hip Hop Showcase & Food Drive Fenix Discotec, 517 Washington Street April 11th at 8pm.
