Every week in Everett a bunch of MC's gather for a massive freestyle cipher over instrumentals spun by a DJ. What started as a table discussion about the art of freestylin after the Freedom Cypher at Kulturez Dynasty in November OF 2012, turned into a plan to launch the Freestyle Clinic the following week at another location. This is another great example of how conversation can lead to action.
The Freestyle Clinic, spearheaded by Seti aka K9 and Estee Nack of Tragic Allies has been goin strong for 3 months and continues to serve its purpose of bringing together MC's to sharpen their swords. It's not at a typical venue either. It's in a decent sized jam room known as the "Blue Room" inside of a huge warehouse-like building. The first thing that catches your attention when you walk in is banging beats, intense freestyles and the lovely aroma of high grade herbal essence. Because its privately rented and used by musicians on nights other than the Freestyle Clinic the address isn't posted online for just anyone to show up. So it would be fair to say this is truly an "underground Hip Hop spot". The vibe was welcoming and it's also another great place in Mass to connect with other artists.
Word through the grapevine is there may be a release of some audio hi-lights recorded at the Freestyle Clinic too! For more info or the address contact Seti or Estee Nack.
