Wreck Shop Movement Open Mic & Jam Session
May 22, 2019, 9pm Bonefish Harry's 45 Lewis St., Lynn Bonefish Harry's restaurant and tiki bar is conveniently located near the beach and a few bus stops away from the downtown and Central Square bus and train station. There is parking on street and a parking lot off street owned by Bonefish Harry's. About the Open Mic & Jam Session... If you've been to a Wreck Shop event you know it's all about bringing people together, spreading good vibes, encouraging self expression and elevating the artistic community with our platforms. We aim to continue that at our new home, Bonefish Harry's with our weekly Open Mic & Jam Session. The Open Mic sign ups will be on site between 9pm and 10pm. The first jam session will begin at 10pm and run til 10:30pm. Open Mic performances will begin at 10:30pm and run until Midnight. A final jam session will begin at Midnight and run til 12:30 The Jam Sessions are impromptu and open to musicians, singers and MC's. For the open mic, Singers and MC's are required to bring their music on a thumb drive. Each performer will get to perform 1 song or a capella unless a majority of the crowd calls for one more then they will get to perform 1 more song. Be prepared to perform 2 songs but know that only 1 song is guaranteed if you make the list. It's first come first to RSVP your slot. This event will be hosted by the one and only Mr.PSA with DJ Slipwax on the turntables! Wednesday nights are also 50 cent wing nights! Come enjoy some music, good vibes, drinks and food! (on the Orange Line if you are subway-ing in. Specifically we congregate on The "Forest Hills side" of the Downtown Crossing T platform.) Tips/Directions from if you are coming from North: -if you want to Subway in... parking at Exit 28 (Sullivan Square Station), is close.. you then take the orange line "toward Forest Hills" its about 4 stops (7 minutes) down... its the Downtown Crossing stop - right after "state". As far as driving in -theres free metered parking -Parking at Post Office Square Parking Garage is only $9 -another place to look for free parking is High Street. theres generally something that opens up there within 5-10 mins. |
